HRSA, through the Ending the HIV pandemic grant, funds Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center’s Infectious Disease program. HSNHC is proud to offer HIV Prevention Services to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS within our low-income community. Our HIV program is designed to reach people living with HIV. We also provide HIV prevention services to the high-risk heterosexual population, Men who have sex with Men (MSM), and commercial sex workers. We provide HIV prevention interventions like Community Promise, share condoms and lubricants, and offer rapid HIV testing and counseling services five days a week. We offer immediate linkage to treatment for all newly diagnosed HIV-positive individuals and comprehensive medical care.
We provide case management services to individuals living with HIV to increase medication adherence and improve health outcomes. We have a team of Community Health Workers who are walking the streets and connecting with community members and offering our services like condom distribution and referrals, and navigation for more services.
We offer HIV testing and prevention services to Boston residents at risk of contracting HIV and refer them to our clinic for PrEP enrollment as needed. Services are provided in a client-centered, culturally sensitive, and respectful manner that utilizes the concept of harm reduction.
Our infectious disease department offers free HIV rapid tests to all residents at our main clinic.Subscribe to Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center newsletters to stay in the know on the latest developments to help you and your family.
