New Mask Policy

Dear Patients,

The COVID-19 public health emergency has now ended, as of May 12th, 2023. In keeping with guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center will no longer require masks in either administrative areas or most clinical settings.

Though masks are no longer required for all patients and families in our health center, individuals over the age of two are still required to wear a mask if they:

  • Have a fever, cough or symptoms of an upper respiratory infection (such as the flu or a cold)
  • Have a known COVID-19 infection
  • Have a known exposure to COVID-19 within the last ten (10) days

Staff members will wear masks for these patients as well.  And, of course, patients, visitors and staff may still wear masks if they prefer.  Additionally, if you wish for your provider to wear a mask, please let us know when you arrive.

Harvard Street will continue to offer COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination to our patients and community. If you suspect you may have COVID-19, at-home rapid testing is also a good option. Vaccines are the best way to protect yourself against COVID-19. If you still need to be vaccinated with your first, second, third, or booster doses, please schedule your vaccination by calling our dedicated COVID-19 line at 617-245-8206 or schedule online here: https://harvardstreet.org/covid-19/

Thank you for making Harvard Street your healthcare home! Please reach out to us at 617-825-3400 with any questions or concerns about this new mask policy. We are always here to help you!
